Altar servers are children and adults who serve the priest/celebrant on the altar. The acolyte (adult) may also serve as Minister of Communion if needed or assist with Benediction during Eucharistic Adoration. Duties of the altar server are to assist the presider whenever he needs the book of prayer or any other necessities during the celebration of the Mass. Training is provided for Acolytes and Altar Servers.
