Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative and advisory body to the Pastor. Normally meeting once a month in open session, our Council is made up of eight regular members, the Pastor, and a recording secretary. Members are selected from the parish at large and serve an initial term of three years. Pastoral Council’s primary duties are to assist the Pastor in assuring that all aspects of parish life reflect the mission and ministry of Jesus, in providing recommendations for parish priorities, and in promoting communication and understanding among parish organizations and between the parish and the Diocese. Pastoral Council makes recommendations after a process of prayerful discernment and consensus. Matters of fiscal stewardship, such as finance, budgets, and buildings and grounds are also concerns of the Council. The Pastoral Council represents the entire parish recognizing and reflecting its diversity.
